Well we are back after the drought and warm weather
conditions here. Pine is fishing well for smallies. A
crayfish or woolly bugger pattern seems to be the key
right now. Morning and late evenings a popper can
work. Stone fly nymphs will work also along with large
wet flies.

Trout fishing has been slow in the smaller creeks due
to low and clear conditions. A Elk Hair Caddis, or
small olive Stimulator seems to be the ticket for the
brookies.

Lakes are fishing OK now but you have to get deep to
find fish. I have been trolling flies at 10 to 20 foot
depths on my pontoon boat to find the fish. Copper
flash in flies are taking bass, crappies and large
sunfish. Surface action has been slow, you have to
get down to find fish.

White fly's are coming off at night and the smallies
have keyed in on them.

  8/27/2010
We had over 2" of rain recently, but the streams are
down already. Low and warm. Bass fishing has been
good, lots of Y.O.Y.

Lakes are still slow as of now. Fish are down deep
still.
